THIS year's autumn fair was held at Mahorall Farm, on the Hope Bagot Road near Nash, on September 20, by kind permission of Mr Chris King Turner. Weather was fine and the venue perfect.

Excellent refreshments were provided in the afternoon by Paul Faulkner with one of his efficient mobile canteens and Marina Clent TCHT committee member. Terry Tandler and his folk group provided excellent musical entertainment for children and adults alike and Hawkeye Birds of Prey demonstrations were superb. He also set out a wonderful, static display of birds and they were much admired in particular by the children present. It was amazing to see that one bird was thirty one years old but many others had been born just this year. Local historian Alf Jenkins had a packed session for his lecture entitled War Time on Clee Hill.

The event extended for a folk evening in Chris King Turner's superb barn. Terry Tandler and Friends with Kitty and Gary of Hijinx Music, Diddlebury were most entertaining and really enjoyed by all. The evening included a fish and chip supper and all were able to enjoy Mahorall cider, other cordials and juices all produced on the farm. Well done Chris and TCHT committee for this splendid occasion. They will certainly be looking to hold further folk evening events at this venue.
