THE new Pets At Home store has opened in Ludlow today.
The store, situated close to the Harry Tuffins Petrol Station off Sheet Road, has opened with the creation of 10 new jobs.
"The jobs are a mixture of full and part-time and we have employed mainly local people," said store manager Jes Preen.
As well as selling pet supplies the store operates a rehoming service called Support Adoption For Pets for animals such as rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs and degus.
The services helps customers if they find themselves in a situation where they cannot look after a small furry animal but they are not taken from breeders.
The store also sells reptiles such as bearded dragons, pythons, corn snakes and milk snakes.
