CAREER changes do not come much bigger than the one that Debbie Knight is undertaking in Tenbury.

After 26 years on the ‘black hat’ side of the fence working for the Inland Revenue she he joining the good guys by opening a linen shop in the town.

So instead of collecting taxes, Debbie, aged 50 is selling towels, bed clothes and a host of other linen products.

She believes that Tenbury is a good place to open the business.

“There are a good selection of different shops giving people the chance to buy a lot of the things that they need without having to travel to places like Kidderminster,” she said.

“I will be selling all linen needs plus much more and can order in anything that I do not have.

“There is no other shop like this in Tenbury and I have strived to get great products at great prices.

“After 26 years with the Inland Revenue, I was looking for a change and am looking forward to my new career.

As well as local business, she is also hoping to benefit from visitors that come into Tenbury.

The shop will be open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 9am and 5pm.
