ENVIRONMENTAL groups in Ludlow and south Shropshire are being invited to bid for a share of a £1.5 million funding pot.
But any group that wants to have a go needs to get on with it.
Ludlow Constituency MP Philip Dunne is encouraging environmental groups across South Shropshire to apply for a share of the money from the Postcode Local Trust.
The Postcode Local Trust - a grant-giving charity funded by players of People’s Postcode Lottery - has opened its latest funding round and the deadline for applications is tomorrow Friday, September 30 at 5pm.
Projects that are likely to be funded will improve local ecology and habitats, encourage bio-diversity and benefit the wider environment. Groups can apply for funding ranging from £500 - £20,000.
“South Shropshire is home to diverse and scientifically significant ecology, so it is important we do what we can to preserve our environment for future generations,” said Philip Dunne.
“This fund could really benefit local environmental groups looking for extra resources to get projects off the ground.”
