GOALS from Matt Blount, James Pratt and Gavin Hughes saw Ludlow Men's beat Shrewsbury 2nd 3-2 in their second pre-season friendly.
Blunt opened the scoring from a penalty corner won by Pratt, before Pratt scored a fine individual goal.
Shrewsbury replied before half-time, but found Ludlow keeper Dave Hughes in fine form.
Hughes then extended the team's lead before Shrewsbury pulled a goal back.
Ludlow coach Martin Watts said: "Once again the fixture was an excellent test against Ludlow."
The team's final friendly is this Saturday against Old Halesonians.
Mike Wilson scored twice for Ludlow 2nd, but it was not enough as Shrewsbury 3rd won 6-2.
And Ludlow 3rd were hammered 12-0 by Shrewsbury 4th.
Ludlow Ladies beat local rivals Knighton 401 in a seven-a-side match at Moor Park.
Sunday 7's is a new development at Ludlow and the club will be looking to add further games as the year progresses.
Meanwhile, the under-13 boys team won two of their three matches at Much Wenlock.
