GOLF professional Ollie Farr has agreed to support the Adam Millichip Foundation on a long term basis.

Ollie Farr, who plays on the European Tour, is supporting the Foundation that was set up in memory of Adam Millichip a young man from Tenbury who died tragically aged 27 in an accident at work eight years ago.

“The Adam Millichip Foundation is a fantastic charity, the work they do to help disabled people to get into sport is very inspiring, I will be helping the Foundation as much as I can around my busy Tour schedule,” said Ollie Farr.

Every year a golf day is staged at Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club with 250 players.

In another success the organisers have persuaded British wheelchair tennis player Val Fisher to give the prices.

But there is even more good news with the securing of a two year sponsorship agreement with IHN Insurance Brokers.

“IHN have supported us from day one but it is fantastic that they have decided to commit financially to the charity and the golf day for the next two years, said Mark Benbow, a trustee of the Foundation.

“To have a company of this size supporting us to raise money for disable people to get into sport is fantastic.”

The Golf Day is on Friday, May 8, and is the biggest fund raising event of the year for the charity that has raised more than £70,000 to help people with disabilities to get into sport.
