NORBURY were involved in an entertaining 3-3 draw with visitors Minsterley at the weekend in Division One of the Shrewsbury & District Sunday League.

Minsterley took as early lead when a cross was bundled in but it was all-square when Mark Hudson played in man of the match Andrew Edwards down the left and his cross was met first time by Hudson who fired the ball low into the bottom corner.

The visitors regained the lead only for Norbury to hit back when Hudson turned provider and fed Toby Siveter with a precise through ball and he burst clear to go past the goalkeeper and tuck the ball in from a tight angle.

The goal-fest continued when the home side conceded again just before half-time.

Most pressure came from Norbury in the second half but several chances were spurned before Niall Thomas cut the ball back to Siveter and he took his time before planting the ball in to rescue a point with his second goal of the game.

This Sunday, Norbury round off their season at home to Bagley Sports (ko 10.30am).

AFC Ludlow won’t have to play their outstanding match against Worcester Raiders with the sides sharing the points and the record books showing the game finished goalless.

Tenbury United rounded off their Herefordshire League Premier Division Campaign with a goalless draw at Hinton last week to leave them in second place, seven points adrift of champions Wellington Reserves.
